Boothbay Railway Village (seasonal)
This is the museum to go to if you are looking to take a train ride or check out antique autos. A non-profit organization operates this narrow gauge coal fired steam train in a re-created historic village.
Owls Head Transportation Museum
This museum displays planes, cars, and engines. Some planes and vehicles are operated on the weekends. Admission is charged.
Maine Lighthouse Museum (seasonal)
The mission of the Maine Lighthouse Museum is to educate the public regarding the long-standing traditions, heroism and progress of America’s Lighthouse and Lifesaving services and the United States Coast Guard through the conservation and interpretation of the nation’s most significant collection of lighthouse and lifesaving artifacts. Sail Power & Steam Museum (seasonal)
Celebrate Maine’s contribution to the development of all manner of marine transportation, with an emphasis on Rockland’s rich shipbuilding history. In addition to a repository of sailing artifacts at the permanent site, the Sail, Power & Steam Museum offers a series of off-hours and offsite “happenings.”
Knox Museum (seasonal)
Features the home of the first Secretary of War, under President George Washington. Includes visitor’s guide, events, programs and memberships.e

This museum is the heart of contemporary Maine art, providing people the opportunity to view and appreciate work by Maine’s most talented artists.
Farnsworth Art Museum
The Farnsworth Art Museum offers a nationally recognized collection of American art. Seven galleries contain an extensive collection of 18th – 20th Century art including N.C. Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth; Lousie Nevelson; Winslow Homer; Willard Metcalf and Fitz Hugh Lane. Admission is charged.
